Ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, day-trippers, and traveling professionals, our homestead is just 30 minutes from Bangor, Newport, and Dover-Foxcroft. It serves as the perfect launchpad for day trips to Acadia National Park, Baxter State Park, and Katahdin Woods & Waters National Monument. THE SPACE Living & Work Areas: Features a cozy living room, private office, library, and a fully equipped, spacious eat-in kitchen. Sleeping Arrangements (Sleeps up to 6): One main-floor Queen bedroom with blackout drapes, and one upstairs Full bedroom with room-darkening shades. For extra guests, we can provide a Queen cot or two Single cots upon request (fees may apply). Convenience Amenities: Equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, Smart TVs, an in-unit washer and dryer, and an automatic standby generator for uninterrupted comfort. OUTDOOR ADVENTURE & TRAIL ACCESS On-Property Trails: Step directly onto our private, marked system of non-motorized trails perfect for hiking, biking, or trail riding, leading to a scenic meandering stream (guest assumes all risk). Motorized Trail Access: The Pomeroy Place is located just 1/4-mile from the ITS-83 snowmobile trail and 4 miles from local ATV trails. Side-by-side and ATV road riding is permitted locally to access the trail systems. Backyard Amenities: Enjoy a spacious 4-season backyard complete with a screened gazebo, fire pit, picnic table, and a patio with a BBQ grill. Parking: Ample off-street parking is available to easily accommodate large snowmobile, ATV, or horse trailers (with a seasonal grass paddock available to rent). In Case You Need Anything: Our owner-operated, part-time/full-service auto repair shop is located in an outbuilding at the far back of the lot, and we live next door. This assures your peace of mind and quick assistance for anything you might need. Other Details to Note

STEPS & STAIRS: There are 2-4 steps into the home from each exterior door, and a staircase to reach the second floor bedroom and sitting room. SECURITY CAMERAS: For guest and property security, exterior security cameras are located at both the main entrance and the exit to the backyard. The main entrance door camera records video and audio but the one on the back door records only video due to the adjacent patio. There are 3 other exterior security cameras on the large outbuilding at the back of the lot. SCENTS: We provide unscented laundry products, and we do not use room deodorizers, wax burners, plug-ins, or any other type of scent generator, but we cannot guarantee a scent-free environment. WATER AND SEWER: This home has an Artesian well and a septic system. Our water is mineral rich due to underground granite. We utilize a water softener but you may notice a mild odor. This odor is harmless and will lessen over time due to normal water usage. Our water is totally safe for drinking, cooking, and bathing, but there is a Brita filter pitcher if you prefer that. WILDLIFE: This property is located in rural Maine. While it is meticulously maintained and thoroughly cleaned before each guest's arrival, seasonal encounters with local insects (biting and stinging) and other wildlife may occur. Please only open windows and exterior doors that are properly screened, minimize the time exterior doors are open during check-in, check-out, and throughout your stay, and look for wildlife in the yard before/while walking their dog - especially at night.

We strive to provide a 5-star experience and look forward to hosting you. To protect our nearly 200-year-old home and surrounding property, all guests are required to review and agree to the following rules: Verification Required: The booking guest must be present. Within 24 hours of booking, you must provide a photo ID, guest list, and dog details (if applicable). No Parties or Indoor Gatherings: Guest limit is strictly enforced. Small outdoor gatherings at the gazebo (max 10 people) may be approved with prior messaging. Dog Welcome: One dog only, and they must be registered in the booking. Please keep dogs off furniture (or use provided covers), crate them on non-carpeted floors when away, and keep them leashed outdoors. No pee pads. Pasture Safety (Crucial): There is an electric fence across the driveway. Do not touch the fence, and do not approach or feed the horses. Strictly No Smoking/Vaping: Prohibited indoors. Outdoor smoking is restricted to the backyard and the designated patio area; please use the yellow metal bucket provided for disposal. Dirt & Carpet Control: Please remove shoes in the mudroom. Use the provided dog towel for muddy paws. Heating & Cooling: Keep doors/windows shut while systems are running. Heat must not exceed 72°F; AC must not go below 70°F. Space heaters are strictly prohibited. Sewer & Water Care: This home runs on an Artesian well and septic system. Do not put anything down the toilet other than toilet paper. No grease or food down the sink. Exterior Security: Exterior security cameras are active for safety. Disabling or tampering with cameras or Wi-Fi will result in a $200 fine and immediate eviction without refund. Quiet Hours: 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Fireworks and gunfire are prohibited at all times. Checkout: 11:00 AM. Unapproved late checkout is billed at $100/hr.

The Pomeroy Place is on a paved rural road with two homes across the street (visible) and one next door (not visible). There is a very-part-time auto repair shop in an outbuilding at the back of the lot. The home is very close to the Levant and Exeter town lines. Corinth is a lovely small town with a grocery store, several gas stations, a barbershop, and a Family Dollar. Dining choices include Hometown Pizza, Robinson's, Dunkin Donuts, and a Vegan restaurant called Little Lads on Main St, as well as Ollie's Market on Avenue Rd. / Rt. 222. Delivery services are available from Walmart, Instacart, and BJ's, among others. As you drive around town you are quite likely to encounter one or more of our local Amish families driving in their buggies, so please be very cautious when driving at night or on curvy roads. They pass this rental unit nearly every day.

Guest Access

Guests are permitted in the rental home, and to use the backyard, gazebo, and marked trail system. Please do not walk, bike, or hike on the dirt road that exits McCard Rd on the sharp corner, that is private property and is actively being logged.
